Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. 42 And in [the story of the tribe of] Thamud, too, when they were told, "You shall enjoy your life for [but] a little while," 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
