Hizb 53
< random >
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came in unto him and said: peace! he said: peace! people unknown. 25 Then he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf, 26 He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. 28 Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! 29 They answered: "Thus has thy Sustainer decreed; and verily, He alone is truly wise, all-knowing!" 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 So We brought out from therein the believers. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. 46

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
