Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? 24 When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, 38 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman." 39 We seized him and his army and threw them into the sea. He himself was to be blamed. 40 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind 41 It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 And neither stand up nor defend themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
