Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 We saved all the faithful in the town. 35 – and We did not find there any, apart from a single house of Muslims – 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. 38 But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Thamud. They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” 43 They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. 46
