Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). 36 And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind 41 It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
