Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he went to his home – so he brought a healthy calf. 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
