Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" 27 He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. 28 Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? 31 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 marked by your Lord upon those who go beyond the limits.” 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. 37 AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. 40 And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind 41 which turned everything it approached into dust. 42 And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 They were unable to stand up, nor were they helped. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
