Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" 31 They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 But he turned away with his forces and said: A magician or a mad man. 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
