Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). 25 Then he went apart unto his housefolk so that they brought a fatted calf; 26 and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, 32 so that we bring down stones of clay upon them 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. 36 And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea, well-known in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment. 37 And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 And in 'A-ad also was a lesson, when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
