Did the news of Ibrahim’s honourable guests reach you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? 24 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said, 'We have been sent to a people of sinners, 32 “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” 33 “That are kept marked, with your Lord, for the transgressors.” 34 So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. 35 but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. 38 But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." 39 We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. 40 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind 41 It did not leave aught on which it blew, but it made it like ashes. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. 46
