And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 (Muhammad), tell them,"Seek refuge in God. I have been sent from Him to plainly warn you. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 The evildoers shall have for their portion, a portion like their companions (who were destroyed before them). Therefore, they should not ask Us to hasten! 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60
