And heaven – We made it with Our Own Power and We have the Power to do so. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 So ruin is for disbelievers, from their day – which they are promised. 60
