With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. 49 So turn to God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 50 Do not set up with Allah another god. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 I created the jinn and mankind only so that they might worship Me: 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
