AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 And do not set up with Allah another god: surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60
