We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!" 52 Have they handed this down to one another? They are certainly a people who exceed all bounds, 53 Therefore turn away from them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), – so there is no blame upon you. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I desire from them no provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Alas the woe for those who refuse to believe in the Day which has been promised them. 60
