AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate. 49 “Therefore rush towards Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 50 Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 So surely those who are unjust shall have a portion like the portion of their companions, therefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
