With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth have We spread out wide - and how well have We ordered it! 48 And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful. 49 Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 50 And set not up (or worship) any other ilahan (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad SAW) am a plain warner to you from Him. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 I have not created jinn and mankind except to serve Me. 56 I do not expect to receive any sustenance from them or that they should feed Me. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 So woe to the unbelievers, for that day of theirs that they are promised. 60
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat). Sent down in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
