Al-Dhaareyaat 3 of 3
We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. 48 We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember. 49 So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. 50 And do not ascribe divinity to aught side by side with God: verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!" 51 In the same way no Messenger came to those who lived before them without his people calling him a magician or an insane person. 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 And I have not created the jinn and mankind but that they should worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them, nor I desire that they should feed Me. 57 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
