The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Mount (Sinai), 1 and by the Book in lines 2 in a parchment unrolled, 3 And the House (Kaaba) that is visited, 4 And the elevated canopy 5 Consider the surf-swollen sea! 6 verily your Lord's chastisement shall come to pass, 7 Of it there is no averter. 8 Upon the Day when the heaven spins dizzily 9 And the mountains move away with (awful) movement, 10 Woe on that Day to those who deny the truth, 11 Who play in talk of grave matters; 12 The Day when they will be pushed down by force to the Fire of Hell, with a horrible, forceful pushing. 13 "This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny! 14 "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Lo! those who kept their duty dwell in gardens and delight, 17 Rejoicing because of what their Lord gave them, and their Lord saved them from the punishment of the burning fire. 18 Eat and drink with relish for that which ye have been working. 19 They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes. 20 And those who believed, and their seed followed them in belief, We shall join their seed with them, and We shall not defraud them of aught of their work; every man shall be pledged for what he earned. 21 We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire. 22 and in that [paradise] they shall pass on to one another a cup which will not give rise to empty talk, and neither incite to sin. 23 ۞ Youths as fair as hidden pearls will be set apart to wait upon them; they will be running to and fro to serve them. 24 They will go to one another asking each other questions: 25 'When we were among our people' they will say, 'we were ever fearful, 26 “So Allah did us a great favour, and saved us from the punishment of the flame.” 27 Before, we were supplicating to Him. He is the Giving, the Most Merciful' 28
