The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the Mount (of Revelation); 1 By the book inscribed. 2 In a Scroll unfolded; 3 And the House (Kaaba) that is visited, 4 By the roof elevated. 5 By the sea overflowing. 6 the punishment of your Lord shall certainly come to pass, 7 Of it there is no averter. 8 On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion 9 The mountains move and fly away, 10 Woe, then, on that Day to all who give the lie to the truth 11 Those who in wading sport themselves. 12 On that Day when they shall be pitched into the Fire of Gehenna (Hell), 13 This is the Fire which ye were wont to believe. 14 Then is this magic, or do you not see? 15 Enter into it, then bear (it) patiently, or do not bear (it) patiently, it is the same to you; you shall be requited only (for) what you did. 16 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss 17 enjoying what Allah will have endowed them with; and their Lord will have saved them from the torment of the Blazing Fire. 18 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did, 19 Reclining on thrones set in lines, and We will unite them to large-eyed beautiful ones. 20 And those who believed, and whose progeny also followed them in their faith, will be united with their offspring. We will not deprive them of their labour in the least. Every man is bound to what he does. 21 And We shall succour them with fruits and flesh such as they desire 22 In it, they accept cups from each other, in which is neither any lewdness nor any sin. 23 ۞ and youths, of their own, shall pass among them as if they were hidden pearls. 24 They will go to one another asking each other questions: 25 Saying: Surely we feared before on account of our families: 26 But God has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of scorching wind. 27 "Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!" 28
