The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the mount. 1 by the book (Torah) written 2 on wide-open scrolls. 3 by the much-visited House, 4 and the uplifted roof 5 And [by] the sea filled [with fire], 6 Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur. 7 none can avert that. 8 On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion. 9 and the mountains will move with [an awesome] movement. 10 Will be the day of woe for those 11 Who are playing in falsehood. 12 The day on which they shall be driven away to the fire of hell with violence. 13 and they will be told, "This is the fire which you called a lie. 14 "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see? 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and Delight. 17 enjoying what Allah will have endowed them with; and their Lord will have saved them from the torment of the Blazing Fire. 18 "Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do." 19 (They shall be) reclining on couches ranged in rows and We shall wed them to houris (virgins of Paradise) with large wide eyes. 20 To those who have attained to faith We shall unite their offspring who have also followed them in faith, and We shall not let any of their good deeds go unrewarded; every human being is a pledge for whatever he has earned. 21 And We shall bestow on them fruit and meat in abundance - whatever they may desire: 22 They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin. 23 ۞ And round them shall go boys of theirs as if they were hidden pearls. 24 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 25 Saying: "We were also once full of fear at home. 26 But God has granted us favors and saved us from the scorching heat of the torment. 27 Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful. 28
