Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Enjoin them their understandings to this? or are they a people conumacious? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say: "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
