Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), enlighten, for by the munificence of your Lord, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant. 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 What! The daughters for Him, and the sons for you? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
