Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot! 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 (So obstinate are they that) even if they were to see some fragments of the sky falling down they would still say: “It is only a mass of cloud.” 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. 48 And in the night also hallow Him, and at the setting of the stars. 49
