Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest, 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
