Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Nay, but they do not believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up." 44 So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 and also celebrate His praise at night, and at the retreat of the stars. 49
