Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or they allege, “He is a poet – we await a calamity of the times to befall him.” 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 [And] have they created the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no certainty of anything! 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
