(Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
