The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Star when it goes down,- 1 your companion has neither strayed nor is he deluded; 2 nor does he speak out of his own desire. 3 This is only revelation communicated, 4 and taught to him 5 One strong of make. Then he stood straight. 6 And he was on the horizon of the highest heaven. 7 Then he drew near and hung above suspended, 8 And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer; 9 And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed. 10 The heart lied not (in seeing) what it saw. 11 Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad SAW) about what he saw [during the Mi'raj: (Ascent of the Prophet SAW over the seven heavens)]. 12 And indeed he (Muhammad SAW) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time). 13 by the lote-tree at the farthest boundary, 14 Near it is the Garden of Refuge - 15 When that covered the lote-tree which covered it. 16 The sight did not shift, nor did it cross the limits. 17 Indeed he saw the supreme signs of his Lord. 18 Have you then considered the Lat and the Uzza, 19 And Manat, the third, the last? 20 What, have you males, and He females! 21 This is certainly an unjust apportioning. 22 They are naught but names yourselves have named, and your fathers; God has sent down no authority touching them. They follow only surmise, and what the souls desire; and yet guidance has come to them from their Lord. 23 Shall man have whatsoever he wisheth for! 24 To Allah belong both the Next World and the present. 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
