So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
