Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
