(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
