Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
