So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
