Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
