Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
