(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
