Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you make merry? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
