Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
