Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
