Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
