So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
