Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and covered them with torment. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
