Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
