Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
