Prostration

Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
