Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
