Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
