HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
