So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
